Any heavy combination unit towing one or more trailers, each having a gross vehicle mass greater than 9 tonnes. 

 

Experience required to upgrade your licence or remove a restriction:

 

Must have held:

 

• C (Car) class licence for at least three (3) years; and

• HR (Heavy Rigid) class licence or HC (Heavy Combination) class licence for at 

      least one (1) year.

 

When can you start learning to drive:

 

On attaining your HR or HC class licence.
