C (Car) Class licence

 

A motor vehicle with a gross vehicle mass (GVM) not greater than 4.5 tonnes and constructed or equipped to seat no more than 12 adults (including the driver).

Changes to Graduated Driver Training and Licensing

 

Effective 9 October 2017.

 

Familiarise yourself with the changes to the GDTL process and what you will need to do to obtain a provisional licence.

 

Experience required to upgrade your licence or remove a restriction:

 

• No experience required (minimum age 17 years).

 

When can you start learning to drive:

 

• No experience required. You can get a learner's permit at 16 years of age.

​

• We offer training in a manual car or an automatic car.
